Free Info On coffee filter holder

I have been searching for the Expresso Maker for quite a long time.
My nephew had just become engaged and I knew they both loved Expresso so this was to be part of their Christmas present, however, when I shopped in many department stores the price was outragious—so back to Amazon I went and found the DeLonghi Expresso Machine, which was quite a bargain!
I purchased the above and gave it to my Nephew and his future wife on Christmas Eve and we have all been drinking expresso since then!
This Expresso maker and every item I purchased through Amazon is ACES as far as I am concerned, they are courteous, they deliver quickly and whatever I am looking for I can be sure to find it with amazon.com—Keep up the good work and thank you!
So a little bit about my coffee habits to help you better assess my review and your needs:
1. I use to be a barista so I know good espresso.
2. I have a pump driven Delonghi at work that I love which is why I bought this brand again.
3. I don’t steam milk because I make Americanos so I haven’t tried to use the steamer. (Espresso with hot water, it’s the freshes cup of coffee you can get!) So I can only assess the quality of espresso.
Pros of the Machine…PRICE it’s about $40 with tax and shipping and it’s a good deal for the price because:
1. It makes decent espresso. It doesn’t have the quality of creme as with the DeLonghi BAR32 Retro 15-Bar Pump-Driven Espresso/Cappuccino Maker that I have at the office but it’s decent for the price.
2. It’s a nice looking machine and it isn’t big and bulky. Doesn’t take up lots of space.
3. The office Delonghi has lasted years so I assume Delonghi makes quality products.
Cons:
1. The quality of creme doesn’t compare to the pump driven delonghi.
2. There is no shut off switch like the pump driven machine. So you have to turn the machine off then wait for machine to stop before removing the coffee.
3. You can’t make more than one drink at a time. You have to add additional water between each cup whereas with the DeLonghi BAR32 15-Bar Pump-Driven machine it has a nice reservoir to hold water and we make several cups at a time!
Overall: The machine is great for the price but if you can opt to spend $100 or so get a pump driven machine with a reservoir and a shut off switch. If you’re a budget then this machine is a good bang for your buck!
My fiance and I just used it for the first time today. It made a great cappuchino.
This is the worst coffeemaker I have ever owned. It makes a great cup of coffee if you don’t mind waiting 45 minutes for a full pot to brew. Also the coffee is not hot enough for my liking. When I first began using the coffeemaker, it took a little longer to brew than what I am used to. The brewing time progressively took longer and longer. I cleaned the coffeemaker several times to see if this was the problem, but the cleaning did not help. I do not recommend this coffeemaker. My DeLonghi coffeemaker was only 2 months old when it started to malfunction.
I bought this March 2010. Please note that we bought the same maker but ours has a thermal carafe instead of glass. I read almost every review on this and I was a little concerned about the coffee not being hot enough. (We like our coffee *hot*.) We did five test runs on the DeLonghi. We currently have a Cuisinart and during one trial we brewed both coffee makers at the same time as a comparison.
PROS: The DeLonghi by far was the hotter of the two. Honestly, I’m not sure why other reviews complained about the temperature. Not only was the coffee steaming hot, the thermal carafe has the extra benefit of a heated bottom plate. We also set a timer for 20 minutes checking for heat retention. The coffee stayed as hot as when it was freshly brewed. I have to mention that we use room temperature water for coffee. We buy reverse osmosis water and leave a gallon jug out just for coffee. That may have affected the efficiency of the water heater. We did not preheat the carafe. The cup warmer is just wonderful. I’ve never had one and it was so nice to to have a toasty warm mug for my morning coffee. I like the front access feature. I don’t have to pull the maker all the way out. Having access to the water and coffee at the same time was nice. I like the design and the black with stainless. It matches my black granite and stainless appliances so well and looks cool on my counter. I don’t like appliances out but I don’t mind this one.
CONS: My issue with pull out arm that is when the when I added water it’s hard to see how much is being put in. The arm pulls out to the left and the water gauge is on the right. I had to bend my head to the side and down to peek at the water level. I know that sounds lazy and I could have move the arm in an a few inches; nevertheless, it did bug me a bit. The clock feature/auto timer worked nicely but it only goes forward. The time speeds up when the “set” button is continually pressed. I went past the correct time and had to go through the 24 hour cycle to come back to the right time. Lastly, the water capacity of this coffee maker & carafe is exactly 10 cups. My Cuisinart can handle a little over the 12 cup limit, however the DeLonghi does not. I intentionally added a generous 11 cups and it did over flow a bit.
I know this sounds like I’m not recommending. But the hot temperature, the extra bonus of a heated bottom plate, the cup warmer and the design is cool enough that I’m actually going keep. I
I was sold on this coffee maker on the basis of its front access. This allows it to remain under the counter as you add coffee or water, but it has several major design flaws that render this feature less desirable.
Adding water must be done left handed or you can’t see the water level in the right side “level window.”
Poor to no access to clean the hot water outlet head in the top of the unit. This gets caked with coffee and coffee oils but the top cannot be removed. You cannot simply wipe this with a paper towel; no way to get your hand inside.
Similarly coffee grounds tend to fall in the tank. We had a quarter inch of nastiness caked in one corner in the bottom of the tank.
These last two can be partially cleaned by inverting the coffee maker in a sink and using a sink sprayer to hose out the inside, but this doesn’t work completely. While doing this I noted parts in the top of the maker to hold the metal trim were rusting (blech).
If the carafe is not placed with its handle directly at the front, while brewing coffee will flood the counter (happened twice).
Coffee tastes tainted; might be psychological after seeing the crap that built up in the tank and the rusty hardware. This thing is going in the garbage after less than 6 months. Purchased at Target, but I feel strongly enough to post this here. One star equals “hate it”? Never felt that way about a product before; there’s a first for everything.
I wanted a full size coffee pot, but felt they all took up too much space on the counter. Finally saw this one and decided to try tucking it in a corner, out of the way,
and using the convenient pull out coffee and water fill. It works for me! It makes a good 5 cups of coffee which fills 2 mugs with a little left for warm ups, which we use every day. I still have the option of 12 cups when family or company are here.
The “aroma drip” seems to take a little longer, but I use it unless I am in a hurry.
I like the coffee pot!
