This pot is simply beautiful. In fact, it is so beautiful, my husband refuses to use it and only displays it, so unfortunatelly I cannot comment on how it works.

Nice looking coffee press.
Yes, you will pay more for this coffee press. But, you get much better craftsmanship for your money. I have used different brands including Bodum and no coffee press I have used to date has been this well crafted.
You honestly get what you pay for with this press.
I seldom review products of any sort, sticking pretty much to books, but will make an exception for this one. This little item can indeed be called a “Turkish Coffee pot,” but it should be more properly called an ibrik, or if in another part of that world, cezve. This is an attractive item being reviewed and one of the most important aspects is that it is made of copper rather than the flashy bronze. This is important because making Turkish coffee, if done correctly, is not something that can be done in seconds. Brass, takes for ever to heat up and does not stay all that hot once it does. Copper, on the other hand heats nicely and evenly.
To make a good cup of this stuff requires some experience and indeed experimentation if you have never done it before. Using an ibrik takes skill, for both the first and the second boil. Both boils need to be done very slowly, and to be honest, to get a true flavor, it is best to do this over a charcoal brazier. But I realize that is not likely to happen all that often, so I suppose a stove will do. Anyway, slow boil, both boils, and for goodness sakes don’t think you are going to fill an American size cup with these wonderful little tools. Turkish cups are small, like in one or two nice sips. Also remember before you buy one of these things, there is NO filter! There should be NO filter! The coffee to be used should be grounded into a powder, even finer than espresso. Remember, this stuff is SUPPOSE to be strong. I recommend plenty of sugar which is best added in before you pour the coffee into the cup. You get use to the grounds after a week or so.
Yes, you drink the grounds. Do remember that after the first boil, get as much of the foam as you possible can as that is where the best flavor is located. Do not get in a hurry with the second boil, it will ruin the taste.
This particular ibrik being reviewed is good. It has a nice wooden handle and is attractive. As to washing it, I never like using detergent of any sort; rinsed and dried with a towel will do fine. Actually, if my wife let me, I would never was it at all. She if funny about that sort of thing though.
All in all, you could do much worse than purchasing this one. It is a bit fancier than I am use to, but it certainly functions as it should.

I was looking for a copper gift for a wedding anniversary and I couldn’t be happier with this product. It makes about 4 ‘coffee cups’ of coffee and is a breeze to clean. The coffee tastes great.
I am very disappointed in the shipping. I recieved my coffe press and the glass was broken. I don’t know how it will taste. I was sooo looking forward to it only to be heart broken. I am sending it back and trying once more to get it all in one piece. So we shall see…Will give another opinion when I get the other one. Kathy from Charleston, S.C.
After having had several automatic coffee makers (all of which made less than fantastic coffee) I decided it was time for a change. Living in Louisiana, I frequent New Orleans on a regular basis and so am very familiar with this type of coffee press. The rich, flavorful coffee from this type of pot spoils not only your taste buds but your nose as well. I was a bit leery due to the fact that I would have grind coffee beans and boil water first thing in the morning (I am NOT a morning person). The extra effort is well worth it. This pot is very convenient for people who like rich, dark brew but do be aware that if you drink a mug of coffee you’re only likely to get two from this pot. The clean up isn’t difficult but must be done by hand so it does require a little time. I find the quality of this press to be in line with what I have seen at upscale hotels in New Orleans, which undergo far more use in a week than mine will in a month.
Item is a nice weight, the colors are brightly enameled, the handle is secure. It’s a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but I think you are only supposed to brew a very small amount. I would have given it 5 stars, if there were “instructions” included as I’m not 100% sure how to use it. Only got short instructions from another source, so have to go online to get detailed instructions. I do worry a bit about the enamel ‘charring’ over an open flame, or how to clean the pot, so that also kept me from giving it 5 stars. Again, because there was no instruction about this. But, that could be the manufacturer’s fault, and not the stores. If one were to go by looks alone, definitely a 5 star…looks nicely ‘exotic’. Shipped promptly to me. GREAT customer service & Communication.
Would buy from again.
This cezve or ibrik is superior to any I’ve ever used. The handwork and artistry on this Turkish Coffee Pot is remarkable (and beautiful).
The craftsmanship is solid and allows perfect production of delicious Turkish coffee. The 12oz size is perfect for two (maybe a little extra for the preparer).
Take this awesome product to the pinnacle of Turkish coffee production by roasting your own beans and grind them ultra fine.
